About me

I have played the pipes for over 30 years, learning in Aberdeen, Scotland and now living in Wellington, New Zealand.  I have played for numerous bands including the legendary Shotts and Dykehead, winning two World Championships back in 2003 and 2005. 

 

I was the Pipe Major of the Wellington Red Hackle, moving them from Grade 4B to 2 in just 5 years and travelled to Canada to play for the world renowned Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, based in Burnaby, British Columbia from 2015 to 2019.

In addition to band success I was the proud winner of the NZ Gold Medal for Piobaireachd in 2011.

I am now based in Invercargill, where I am a member of the ILT City of Invercargill Pipe Band.
